The Nantong Cultural Tourism and Shopping Carnival will take place at the Nantong Yangtze River Sports Park in Nantong from 2 pm to 10 pm between Oct 1 and 7.

The event features eight themed exhibition areas, six special activities, and over 100 brand merchants, offering a diverse range of immersive experiences.

The carnival will begin with an opening ceremony on the evening of Oct 1. During the National Day holiday, there will be various performances, such as a showcase of Shanghai's top programs, a Cantonese golden hits concert, and a children's special event. Every county and district will hold unique cultural and tourism promotion activities.

In the field of intangible cultural heritage and local products, there will be a display of various items from 30 intangible heritage brands, such as blue calico cloth and lanterns. Special local products from friendly and cooperative cities like Guide, Hanzhong, and Macao will also be displayed, with 40 stalls providing a rich cultural shopping experience.

Each evening during the event, thousands of drones will perform a spectacular light-and-shadow show, offering a captivating visual that combines cultural elements with futuristic themes. On National Day (Oct 1) and Mid-Autumn Festival (Oct 6), special themed drone performances will be held to amplify the festive mood.
