Early autumn marks peak harvest season for the high-quality grape variety "Sunshine Rose" from Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province.
"Sunshine Rose" grapes in Xuzhuang village, Matang town, with an area of 4 hectares, have achieved a bumper harvest, attracting many tourists and merchants to place orders.
At the Rudong Muyuanchun Family Farm, farmers have recently been busy harvesting "Sunshine Rose" grapes.
"The 'Sunshine Rose' grapes we grow have juicy flesh, rich sweetness, and a unique rose aroma. They sell well and receive continuous orders, and are even exported to foreign countries such as Russia," said Mao Jihong, head of the farm.
Mao added that the harvesting of these grapes on the farm is expected to end on Oct 20. Advanced drip irrigation technology has been adopted on the farm to maintain humidity and soil nutrients inside the greenhouse, making the grapes sweeter.

In recent years, Xuzhuang village has actively introduced an e-commerce logistics system and expanded new sales channels through formats such as live broadcast, enabling fresh fruits to reach consumers across the country faster.
In 2022, Xuzhuang village introduced the Muyuanchun high-end fruit and vegetable farm project, with an investment of 15 million yuan ($2.11 million). Through the industry, villagers can both obtain rental income from land transfer and earn income through working.
