Changzhuang village in Wuyao town of Rugao presents a lively scene of rural peace and energy. Smooth asphalt roads run through the village, bordered by recently planted photinia trees that sway in the wind, and vibrant aquatic plants flourish along its waterways.

Hejingwan, a charming hamlet known for its crane-neck-shaped landscape, has emerged as the village's main attraction. Winding pathways direct visitors to an arranged camping site, where vivid tents bring a lively splash of color to the peaceful countryside.

By drawing on its strengths, Changzhuang has developed an integrated approach to agriculture and tourism development. In recent years, the village has cultivated sweet corn for fresh consumption over 13 hectares. This variety is sweeter than standard types and can be eaten raw, demonstrating high productivity with yields of up to 550 kilograms per mu (0.067 hectare).

Another highlight is the Hejingwan leisure fishing park. Once an ordinary fishpond used for irrigation and small-scale aquaculture, it has been converted into a versatile site that offers camping, fishing, irrigation, and breeding activities. Different fish species suitable for angling have been introduced to enhance the experience for visitors.

Changzhuang village plans to create one-day tour routes that include activities such as fishing for fresh catch, fruit picking, and sampling traditional farmhouse cuisine. This initiative aims to attract more visitors from the Yangtze River Delta and strengthen the village's rural tourism brand.
