South Korean semiconductor project to be established in Haimen
Haimen Economic and Technological Development Zone signed an investment agreement with JHONE Company from South Korea on Sept 8, for the development of a semiconductor wafer carrier project. This collaboration marks another milestone in attracting international high-end semiconductor initiatives to Haimen, enhancing the region's strategic position and fostering the growth of its semiconductor industry.
JHONE is one of the few company capable of R&D and manufacturing high-precision components and core consumables in both organic light-emitting diode and semiconductor fields.
With a total investment of 300 million yuan ($42.12 million), including180 million yuan dedicated to equipment procurement, the project aims to establish a comprehensive semiconductor and display consumables platform.
In recent years, Haimen has intensified its efforts to attract investment and develop key projects. The focus has been on strategic sectors such as semiconductor equipment, ultra-precision machining core components, and advanced packaging and testing technologies. Since the beginning of this year, Haimen has attracted nine high-quality projects, including Jianzheng Precision Machinery.
