The Golden Eagle commercial district in Chongchuan district experienced a surge in new store openings from Aug 22 to 23, with over ten stores launching during the same period.

Nearly half of the stores are regional firsts, featuring diverse business models such as bulk retail, fresh produce, and trendy toys. They not only enrich the commercial district's business environment but also offers residents more choices.

A highlight is JD Outlet at Nantong Golden Eagle Renmin Road, which has attracted significant attention. The store, jointly developed by JD Group and Hailan Group, involves a total investment of 30 million yuan ($4.19 million) and covers a business area of 5,000 square meters.

It brings together well-known domestic and international brands, offering a full range of products including apparel, footwear, bags, and sports products. It also integrates online and in-person shopping experiences, and intelligent logistics services, quickly gaining popularity among consumers.

In the first half of this year, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Chongchuan reached 36.91 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.1 percent, maintaining the top position in Nantong and demonstrating the resilience and potential of the consumer market.
