The Jiangong Lake Film Base project, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($139.32 million), was launched at the Haimen Digital Cultural Industrial Park on Aug 15.
The core features a comprehensive modern film infrastructure that covers script development, filming, post-production, content approval, distribution, and tourism. It is expected to annually produce at least two theatrical feature films, one animated film, 70 TV drama episodes, three online movies, and 200 short dramas for networks.
This project is financed by Suzhou Jieying Film and Television Co, which has set up the Taihu Lake Film and Television Base in Suzhou and has extensive experience in short drama production and film and television operations management.
