Rugao's first village-level smart parcel locker station recently opened for service following a cooperation agreement between Rugao Lyuse Changlian Supply Chain Management and Yangzhuang Community.

Located in Dongchen town, the Yangzhuang Community smart parcel locker station was completed and began trial operations in June this year. The unmanned station operates 24 hours a day, allowing residents to pick up packages anytime using a QR code. This is especially helpful for those working outside the village or returning home late during busy farming seasons.

Community staff are also available to assist elderly residents unfamiliar with smart devices, helping bridge the digital divide and addressing accessibility concerns. The station is also equipped to handle special deliveries, including large parcels and fresh or cold chain packages.

Looking ahead, the Rugao bureau of transport plans to scale up the construction and management of village-level smart parcel locker stations and accelerate rural vitalization through digital innovation, contributing to the creation of a modern, intelligent rural public service system.
