The WaveRider Paddleboarding Club was launched in Rugao High-Tech Zone on July 14.
The project concentrates on creating water sports facilities, managing marine cultural tourism projects, developing youth outdoor camps, and organizing branded events and competitions. So far, WaveRider has successfully begun operations in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and also in PG Island and Bohol Island in the Philippines.
Upon establishing in Rugao High-Tech Zone, the club will utilize the region's open water resources to provide paddleboarding, training, and other water sports activities. Its aim is to gradually create an integrated model that combines water sports, regional tourism, and the sports event economy.
At the launch event, professional coaches demonstrated paddleboarding techniques and safety tips, followed by live demos and hands-on sessions where local residents got to experience the fun of paddleboarding firsthand.
