Rugao Port breaks throughput records in first half of 2025
As of June 30, Rugao Port inspected 631 inbound and outbound vessels and handled 12,588 crew members, reflecting year-on-year increases of 13.08 percent and 13.97 percent, respectively. The port has experienced consistent growth over several years, achieving a record high in vessel clearance numbers.
To enhance inspection efficiency, the Rugao Border Inspection Station utilizes intelligent platforms and data analysis to monitor both inbound and outbound ships. Customized inspection plans are created according to each vessel's schedule, allowing for immediate inspection upon arrival and passage with the tides.
In addition, the station has improved collaboration with other port authorities through the creation of information-sharing and joint enforcement mechanisms to make the clearance process more efficient. It also continues to explore innovative border inspection models tailored for Rugao Port, with the goal of enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
