Jiangsu Nagamori Equipment Technology held a groundbreaking ceremony for its high-end process equipment manufacturing project in Rugao, Jiangsu province, on June 19.

With a planned investment of 1 billion yuan ($139.46 million), the project will feature industry-leading intelligent production lines, advanced CNC machinery, and integrated manufacturing systems. Once completed, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 25,000 metric tons of process equipment.

Wei Mingli, general manager of Shanghai Nagamori Machinery, the parent company of Jiangsu Nagamori, said that the launch of the project marks a crucial step forward in expanding the company, accelerating technological upgrades, and solidifying its leadership in the sector. He emphasized the company's commitment to independent research and development, mastering core technologies, and strengthening collaboration with local governments to contribute to Rugao's economic and social development.

Wang Minghao, mayor of Rugao, expressed strong support for the project, pledging that the city will provide proactive services. "We will be attentive partners throughout the project's construction and the company's development," he said. Wang also noted that Rugao is striving to build a high-end equipment manufacturing industry cluster, with the sector's total output exceeding 40 billion yuan in 2024.
