The 2025 New Energy Vehicles Going to the Countryside campaign was recently held in Pingyuanchi village, Rugao, Nantong — a national key village for rural tourism — showcasing over 70 new energy vehicle (NEV) brands, including passenger cars, commercial and specialized vehicles.

To stimulate rural consumption and upgrade residents' travel options, State Grid Nantong Power Supply Company has established 31 rural power service points across townships. Streamlined procedures and shortened installation time alleviate concerns about charging availability post-purchase.

Alongside facilitating home charging solutions, the company promotes rural charging infrastructure. Since achieving full township coverage of charging stations in 2022, private capital has expanded the network. Currently, over 2,100 charging poles operate across Nantong's rural areas.

Residents can also use mobile applications to locate nearby available charging stations via real-time navigation, enabling convenient on-the-go charging.

Looking ahead, State Grid Nantong will prioritize expanding public charging facilities in rural regions. Through scientific planning and deployment, it aims to extend coverage from townships to villages, targeting a comprehensive smart charging network with broader and denser distribution before 2025.
