Artists from South Korea's National Gugak Center presented a series of classical dance and instrumental pieces, offering audiences a vivid glimpse into the country's rich musical heritage. Their Chinese counterparts from Nantong Art Theater performed refined performances that highlighted traditional Chinese music.

"For this performance, we selected the traditional art forms which best embody our characteristics," said the project manager of the National Gugak Center. Reflecting on the broader significance of the event, she said, "Music is the universal language of the world and can convey emotions and information. Though our spoken languages differ, through music, we truly feel the mutual understanding."

It was jointly organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Shanghai, the National Gugak Center of South Korea, the Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, film, and tourism, and the foreign affairs office of the Nantong municipal people's government.

The event is expected to deepen the mutual appreciation between China and South Korea, enhancing people-to-people ties and promoting a shared understanding through the enduring power of traditional music.
