Jiangsu's inaugural rural V2G micro smart grid commissioned in Tongzhou
Jiangsu province recently commissioned its first rural micro smart grid utilizing a cutting-edge Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology in Dongshe town, Tongzhou district, Nantong.

The project turns new energy vehicles (NEVs) into veritable "mobile power banks". In addition to drawing electricity from the grid, they are able to feed stored energy back during peak demand and aggregate energy from neighboring EVs via the charging network.
According to the amount of electricity their vehicles discharge, the charging platform offers financial rewards to EV owners. Users initiate charging by scanning a QR code on the charging pile, with real-time charging data displayed transparently.
In addition, the charging piles feature a self-monitoring function. Upon charging, the system can automatically assess a battery's health and, in case of anomalies, cut power supply. This functionality ensures full-process monitoring, early warning, remote control, and traceability.
