Jiangsu Xuerte Heavy Industry Machinery Co, a national high-tech enterprise located in Tongzhou district, Nantong, is adopting a dual approach that enhances its global competitiveness.

On one hand, it has localized its supply chain to expedite the procurement process and reduce logistics costs. On the other hand, it has forged strategic partnerships with international industry giants to expand its global footprint.  

In 2025, Xuerte has received orders exceeding 40 million yuan ($5.50 million), with foreign trade making up over 80 percent of the total. Emerging markets from across countries such as Brazil, India, Vietnam, and Africa contributed more than 60 percent to this growth.

The company is also collaborating with top-tier engineering firms such as SMS Group and Danieli to combine European design with Chinese manufacturing, helping it to establish a presence in third-party markets. 

This year, Xuerte plans to relocate all of its operations to Tongzhou, apply for designation as a "little giant" enterprise, and commence construction on its phase II project.

"Made-in-China products are not inferior. I believe by enhancing competitiveness, more overseas customers will choose us," said Ye Xiaobing, president of Xuerte.
