The Nantong advanced manufacturing base of TE Connectivity in Chongchuan has recently commenced trial operations, ushering in a chapter of development for the district's automotive electronics manufacturing industry.

The $150 million project, covering a total floor area of 40,000 square meters, was funded by TE Connectivity and specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of automotive electronic products. It began construction in December 2023 and was completed ahead of schedule in February this year.

As an advanced manufacturing facility, the base focuses on smart operations and intelligent production, with over 95 percent of its production lines automated. Currently, 50 production lines are operating simultaneously and are projected to achieve an annual output value of 250 million yuan ($34.54 million) this year.

TE Connectivity is a global leader in connectivity and sensor technologies, with its headquarter in Ireland. The base is the seventh advanced manufacturing base of its automotive division in China.
