China-Germany vocational training program to boost high-level technical talent

The promotional conference for the China-Germany Joint Vocational Training Program was held on April 23 in Rugao, Nantong, bringing together experts and scholars from institutions including RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Germany and Shanghai Institute of Technology, alongside representatives from various enterprises.
The joint program is designed to meet the needs of local enterprises for advanced technologies and skilled talent. It integrates Germany's dual education system with local vocational training practices in Rugao, combining German certification with China's vocational skill level certificates for synchronized accreditation.
The first training session, held from April 23 to 27, focuses on digital twins, end-to-end engineering, and AI-driven manufacturing. The course aims to transform frontier technologies into practical industrial momentum.
In his remarks, Mayor Wang Minghao reaffirmed Rugao's commitment to strengthening the integration of industry and education. He emphasized that the city will continue to promote open education with a focus on key industries such as automotive and components, power equipment, electronic information, and life sciences.
