Zhengyu town in Haimen achieves breakthroughs in smart manufacturing
Zhengyu town, located in Haimen district of Nantong, has made significant strides in the field of smart manufacturing this year, achieving a new breakthrough in industrial output.
In the first 10 months of the year, the town's industrial output reached 204 million yuan ($28.14 million), a 6.3 percent year-on-year increase.
As a key base for the automotive parts industry in Jiangsu province, Zhengyu town has been actively capitalizing on the growing new energy vehicle (NEV) market in recent years.
One of the major industrial projects introduced this year is the Wansheng NEV parts project, a 500-million-yuan investment. The project's two factory buildings have already reached the topping-out stage, with 60 percent of the construction work completed. It is expected to be finished by April next year.
Once fully operational, the project is expected to produce 30 million parts for new energy vehicles annually, contributing an additional 500 million yuan in taxable sales and 25 million yuan in taxes each year.
Zhengyu town is also renowned in Jiangsu for its robotics industry. This year, at the 7th China International Import Expo, Nantong Zhenkang's self-developed "medical robot" attracted considerable attention. The robot can take precise, comprehensive images of lesions during CP diagnosis, marking a significant advancement in medical technology.
In recent years, Nantong Zhenkang has led the implementation of four national key industrial smart robot projects and one intelligent manufacturing project supported by China's Ministry of Industry and Technology. The company has already completed construction on a factory which is expected to produce 100,000 RV reducers annually. It is expected to begin production next year.
