Located in Rudong's Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Jiatong Energy, a major green and intelligent polyester producer, is reaping the benefits of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership policies.

Specializing in the production of purified terephthalic acid, polyester, and polyester filaments, Jiatong Energy's products are widely used in industries such as textiles, home furnishings, and automotive manufacturing.

"The majority of our clients are from RCEP member countries. With targeted policy guidance from Rudong Customs, we've been able to stay updated on the latest benefits, adjust our strategies, and enhance our market competitiveness," said Fan Chenxia, head of Jiatong Energy's Foreign Trade Department. From January to October, the company applied for 65 RCEP certificates of origin for exports worth 79.34 million yuan ($10.98 million), resulting in 3.9 million yuan in tariff savings for importers.

Rudong Customs has implemented a dual approach of online and in-person training, educating businesses on RCEP's tariff reductions and rules of origin. It has streamlined procedures with smart audits and self-service printing, significantly reducing trade costs.

Cao Li, director of Rudong Customs' Comprehensive Business Department, reported issuing 3,397 RCEP certificates of origin in the first 10 months of the year, an 8.91 percent increase year-on-year. These certificates benefited nearly 70 exporters with a total export value of 760 million yuan, up 5.68 percent compared to the previous year.
