Intl students delve into Nantong's culture, cuisines

Over 10 international students from Indonesia, Pakistan, Morocco, and other countries recently celebrated World Tourism Day in the Tianshenggangzhen subdistrict, Chongchuan district, Nantong.

These international friends were attracted by the town's beautiful landscape and traditional culture after going cycling, sightseeing, watching art shows and intangible cultural heritage, and tasting local cuisines.

Their entire journey was completed with electric bicycles. The first stop was the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge, the world's first such structure with a single span of more than 1,000 meters that can accommodate both cars and trains.

Moving on, they visited the local fire rescue station to learn about firemen's daily life and training. At the final stop, Bailong Lake Park, these international students watched the performances of Lu Family gongs and drums, dragon dance, and Tiansheng work songs, tried their hands at tie-dying and sugar painting, and enjoyed local delicacies.
