With the assistance of intelligent energy management, Nantong in Jiangsu province has formed an efficient energy network for medical treatment.
To date, six medical institutions in the city, including the East Campus of the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, have connected to the "Energy e+" intelligent energy management platform. By establishing comprehensive energy stations, these medical institutions can reduce the regional distribution capacity occupation and the peak load of electricity consumption.
The East Campus of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University represents a commendable initiative by the local power government department to advance energy management.
Within the hospital's comprehensive energy station, an electronic display provides a comprehensive overview of electricity consumption, unit operations, carbon reduction, and other key energy usage metrics. This pivotal "energy hub" consistently ensures the smooth operation of various different areas within the hospital.
Functioning as the "intelligent core" of the comprehensive energy station, the energy management platform oversees the monitoring, analysis, prediction, and optimization of the entire energy system.
It offers tailored energy management for individual wards, offices, and operating rooms. Projected on an annual basis, the comprehensive energy station is expected to offer significant benefits to the East Campus of the Nantong University Affiliated Hospital, including a 12.77-percent reduction in energy consumption per square meter, a decrease of approximately 22.15 percent in comprehensive energy costs, and savings of about 2.36 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
