The Zhichui Chongchuan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference took place at the Binjiang Intercontinental Hotel in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Sept 25.

Nearly 400 participants, including experts and scholars from renowned domestic universities and research institutes, as well as representatives from well-known enterprises and institutions, attended the event.

A total of 26 agreements were signed on-site, covering new science and technology innovation projects, industry-academia-research cooperation projects, and technology finance projects, helping to bolster innovation and development.

Among the projects was a 50,000-set high-performance servo system production base with a total investment of 100 million yuan ($14.26 million). The base, invested in and constructed by Qingchuan (Nantong) Intelligent Technology Co Ltd, specializes in the research and manufacturing of robot servo drives, motors, and control products, offering advanced solutions in robot control and intelligent equipment to customers.

During the conference, Chongchuan also introduced new measures to optimize the science and technology innovation ecosystem. This included recognizing the top 10 scientific and technological innovation achievements made by enterprises in the district and providing support for newly selected talent projects in Nantong's Jianghai talent program.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Chongchuan has hosted the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference, reflecting its strong commitment to driving innovation and development.

Over the past three years, Chongchuan has achieved remarkable results in innovation and development. To date, the district has attracted nearly 600 science and technology innovation projects and nurtured 874 national science and technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, 534 national high-tech enterprises, one Chinese unicorn enterprise, and 12 provincial unicorn (potential) and gazelle enterprises. It also has a total of 68.9 patents per 10,000 people.
