This year, the Suzhong International Container Terminal in Changjiang town, Rugao, has demonstrated significant growth, marked by a rapid upsurge in cargo throughput.
The terminal facilitates key shipping routes to major destinations, including Shanghai's Waigaoqiao and Yangshan ports, Yingkou, Guangzhou, Ningbo, Wuhan, Anhui, and Jiangxi, with a total of 32 weekly sailings.
The recent introduction of a direct international shipping route from the port to Karatsu Port in Japan has yielded promising results, bolstering the terminal's robust performance.
Primarily, the terminal processes a variety of commodities, including grain, building materials, lubricants, electronic components, automotive parts, pulp, and everyday essentials.
It has succeeded in drawing over 30 corporate entities, including global shipping giants like Maersk, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), and COSCO Shipping.
