A major industrial development was recently marked in Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, as the Wanda Special Bearing's lightweight precision bearing project, with a total investment of 500 million yuan ($70.48 million), secured a contract at the Shanghai-Jiangsu Sci-Tech Innovation Industrial Park.

Jiangsu Wanda Special Bearing, a leading company in developing, manufacturing, and selling forklift bearings and slewing rings, serves global sectors such as construction machinery, smart logistics, and ocean-going vessels.

The newly signed project focuses on the "lightweight" upgrade of the company’s key products. It also plans to introduce advanced intelligent hot-forming production lines to enhance production efficiency, expand capacity, and boost profitability.

The high-end bearing industry is a cornerstone of Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone's strategic focus on cultivating new quality productive forces. This new project will strengthen Rugao's position in this critical sector and inject robust momentum into the region's high-quality development.
