The third annual Hai'an Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Cultural Festival was launched on Aug 19, showcasing a blend of ancient remedies and modern innovations. This year's event was relocated to a shopping mall to promote TCM culture to the public through interactive experiences.
The festival featured an array of traditional and innovative offerings, including medicinal dishes, TCM coffee, health-boosting lollipops, and whitening face masks. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners offered pulse diagnoses and treatments.
A group of professionals demonstrated traditional Chinese practices such as Five Animal Frolics, Eight Brocades, and Tai Chi, highlighting the rich heritage and health benefits of these ancient exercises and drawing crowds eager to learn about and engage in these time-honored methods.
During the festival, Uzbekistan's TCM experts visited Hai'an for an exchange program, enhancing collaboration between Chinese and Uzbek medical institutions.
Uzbekistan cardiology expert Zakirova Gulnoza praised the event, saying, "We are thrilled to participate in the festival. The fact that 5,000-year-old TCM practices are preserved to this day is both magical and remarkable." Gulnoza said that she has treated over a thousand patients with acupuncture and TCM therapies in Uzbekistan.
