Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has established new 24-hour service stations offering a range of services to outdoor laborers.

Outdoor workers can access the stations to rest at any time of day.

The service station located on Sichou Road is the first of its kind in the district. Spanning nearly 200 square meters, the facility features amenities such as a microwave, refrigerator, air conditioning, television, water dispenser, Wi-Fi, and restroom facilities, addressing the most immediate and pressing needs of outdoor laborers.

Shen Henian, the head of the service station on Sichou Road, explained: "The station utilizes digital and intelligent technologies, such as a facial recognition system. Once outdoor workers become registered members and pass the verification process, they can simply scan their face to enter and enjoy 24-hour home-like services."

Haimen has already established three 24-hour smart service stations in the urban area.
