Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has been making continuous efforts to promote employment opportunities in the district this year.

As part of these efforts, the district hosted its first talent night market of 2024 on July 26, which saw 39 high-quality companies participate and 52 individuals reach preliminary employment agreements.

Furthermore, Haimen has been conducting regular inspections this year to address the labor needs of businesses, providing employment assistance services a total of 1,906 times.

The district has also been actively supporting entrepreneurship. From January to June this year, Haimen granted a total of 550,000 yuan ($75,921) in entrepreneurship guarantee loans to four entrepreneurial entities and provided entrepreneurship-related support to 123 university graduates who had graduated within the last five year, leading to the establishment of independent businesses that provided stable employment for 3,176 people.

Additionally, Haimen has been conducting employment skills training with the support of enterprises, vocational schools, and training institutions. In the first half of the year, a total of 1,884 individuals received training.

Thanks to measures such as these, in the first half of this year, the district saw over 17,000 jobs provided, resulting in the employment of 4,250 people.
