As skill training serves as a key initiative to enhance the quality of workers, Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has been focusing on training activities to promote the growth of its high-end textile industry.

This year, Tongzhou has arranged for 25 model workers to visit nine high-end textile companies three times for technical assistance and skill training activities, benefiting over 200 workers.

The Tongzhou Craftsmen Academy has held four sessions of training courses on home textile design, garment pattern making and live streaming e-commerce, and one session on upgrading the educational qualifications of workers in the high-end textile industry, with nearly 400 frontline industry workers participating.

Furthermore, Tongzhou has implemented a new type of apprenticeship training in enterprises, guiding and encouraging industrial chain enterprises to independently conduct skill assessments focusing on emerging occupations and key processes needed by the industry.

Hengke New Materials is the primary raw material production enterprise in Tongzhou's high-end textile industrial chain and the first enterprise in the district to independently certify vocational skill levels.

In recent years, the company has independently assessed nearly 1,000 employees in occupations such as synthetic fiber polymerization, spinning, and synthetic fiber post-processing, and has issued vocational skill level certificates and included them in talent statistics, commendations, and government incentive programs.

Tongzhou's relevant departments have also signed strategic cooperation agreements for talent development with universities such as Jiangnan University, Donghua University, and Nantong University, implementing customized training programs. There are currently 15 industry-academia-research and industry-education integration bases in the entire district's high-end textile industrial chain, providing robust talent support for the development of the high-end textile industry.
