Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province was invited to attend the China-Italy Business Dialogue Forum held in Verona, Italy, on April 12, aiming to enhance economic and cultural ties between Hai'an and Italy.

Lu Lin, vice-mayor of the city, participated in the forum and delivered a speech highlighting the strategic location, comprehensive industrial support, high-quality platforms, and excellent entrepreneurial environment of Hai'an.

Lu mentioned that as early as 2014, the Chinese and Italian governments officially signed a memorandum of understanding, supporting the establishment of the Hai'an Sino-Italian Ecopark, which is the only national-level international government cooperation park located in a county-level city in China.

He added that the local government of Hai'an aims to leverage the momentum of deepening cooperation between the two countries to further expand exchanges and cooperation in emerging manufacturing, modern services, and cultural creativity sectors, aiming for mutual benefits and win-win development.

Beyond industrial collaboration, cultural exchanges between Hai'an and Italy are also proving to be rich and fruitful. Earlier this April, students and teachers from the Padova China-Italy International School completed a week-long Chinese cultural experience tour in Hai'an, fostering mutual learning and friendship between the youth of both nations.
