Nantong companies showcase latest products in Singapore

Sixteen shipbuilding and marine engineering businesses from Nantong, Jiangsu province recently attended the three-day 2024 Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) in Singapore.

The companies showcased the strength of the city's shipbuilding and marine engineering industrial cluster by displaying their latest achievements at the exhibition, such as heavy machinery and cables and wires for vessels.

Li Xiang, overseas sales manager at Jiangsu Import and Export Co, is highly satisfied with the results, explaining that they have learnt about several cutting-edge products and innovative concepts and met many potential clients through the event.

The Nantong municipal bureau of commerce also arranged for Nantong exhibitors to visit Lita Ocean, one of the leading shipping companies in Singapore, and Marinteknik Shipbuilders, a Singaporean designer and builder of high-speed vessels, and invited local related industry associations such as the Singapore Association of Ship Suppliers to engage with Nantong businesses at the exhibition.

Biennial APM this year attracted more than 14,000 businessmen and 710 enterprises and institutions related to shipbuilding and marine affairs from over 30 countries and regions.
