The Shanghai Pudong Software Park (Haimen) Innovation Base was inaugurated in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on March 19.

The base, which comprises software and intelligent manufacturing zones, is set to function as a technological innovation park integrating research and development, industrial incubation, and talent cultivation.

The facility is expected to further optimize the development ecosystem of the district’s new-generation information technology industry and infuse great vitality into the development of its new quality productive forces, noted Guo Xiaomin, Party secretary of Haimen district.

The base will prioritize industries such as high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing, new energy, photovoltaics, and lithium batteries, as well as engage in in-depth cooperation with Haimen across areas including enterprise cultivation, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, IT talent development, and the construction of smart parks, according to Dai Yueming, vice general manager of Shanghai Pudong Software Park Co.

Six high-quality projects were secured and a roadshow event for the new-generation information technology industry was held during the inauguration ceremony.
