Xinlei Ecological Family Farm in Rugao, Nantong has recently secured a place on the list of national-level ecological farms for the year 2023.

Covering an area of 7.3 hectares, the farm specializes in cultivating crops such as fava beans, edamame, waxy corn, and, during the summer months, rice.

Distinguished by its innovative approach, Xinlei Family Farm has pioneered six efficient and low-carbon cultivation models. These models are characterized by minimal labor requirements, simplified operations, and a significant reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers. This approach maximizes both the ecological and economic benefits of greenhouse vegetable production.

Rugao now boasts two farms recognized at the national level for their ecological contributions, with the other being Xinshi Family Farm.
