Haimen Port New Area in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province is playing an increasingly important role in transforming the district into a modern maritime city.

The area boasts a 25-kilometer coastline and has been making efforts to harness its natural resources to advance the integrated development of the port, industries and cities.

The area has established a convenient transportation system, providing strong logistical support for enterprises within it as well as in surrounding cities. According to official data, from January to August in 2022, the throughput of the 20,000-ton general-purpose terminal reached 816,000 metric tons.

The area is also accelerating the improvement of its supporting facilities and vigorously implementing projects to enhance public services such as healthcare, education, and housing. Simultaneously, it is making efforts related to chain hotels, large-scale supermarkets, integrated properties, asset management, and coastal tourism.

It has transformed from a coastal mudflat into a thriving industrial hub, attracting an influx of talent.
