Nearly 2,000 hiking enthusiasts from all walks of life in Nantong, Jiangsu province, started the New Year hiking on Dec 31 to ring in 2024.

Nantong has long held the reputation of being the "hometown of sports" and the "cradle of world champions". It boasts robust mass fitness organizations, providing a solid foundation for the development of high-quality sports activities in the city.

Early in the morning, the hiking enthusiasts gathered at the starting point wearing uniform clothing. With the sound of the starting gun, they set out on their journey, the hikers themselves becoming beautiful moving scenery, moving along the city's roads.

The chosen location for the hike was the Junshan Mountain Scenic Area. Starting from the east gate of Junshan Mountain Green Field, participants walked along Junshan Road, Shanshui Road, Jianshan Road, and Gongnong South Road.

Capturing moments with photographs and the beautiful scenery, the hikers breathed in the fresh air, immersing themselves in the remarkable ecological changes in Nantong.

"In recent years, by participating in the New Year hiking activity, we have discovered many beautiful sights that are usually overlooked," remarked one of the participants.

Outdoor clubs such as Zilang Outdoor Club, Letu Group, and 0513 Outdoor Club have loyal fan bases committed to hiking activities. Their members have participated in the New Year hiking event for consecutive years.
