Festive atmosphere builds up in Nantong

With New Year celebrations just around the corner, the Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism has recently launched 200 cultural and tourism activities, aiming to cultivate a vibrant festive atmosphere.

All cultural facilities in the city, including theaters, libraries, and museums, are set to host concerts, dramas, and various other performances, offering local residents a rich cultural feast.

A major highlight of the festivities will be a concert featuring multiple heavyweight and popular singers, scheduled to kick off at the Nantong Sports Exhibition Center on Jan 7.

Locals can also delight in solving lantern riddles, watching dragon dances, appreciating lanterns displays, and visiting temple fairs. Opera enthusiasts will be able to immerse themselves in the world of opera with professional players performing Peking Opera, Yueju Opera, Kunqu Opera, and Haimen folk songs.

Cultural facilities will host diverse exhibitions, including painting and calligraphy displays, photography showcases, and intangible cultural heritage exhibitions.

From the New Year to the Spring Festival, all attractions in Nantong have arranged activities for tourists. Whether it is the traditional beauty of the Haohe River scenic area or as the excitement of the new Sendi Snow Park, a festive atmosphere has already enveloped the city.
