Shigang town in Tongzhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, has been making significant efforts to attract projects.

The town has formed three dedicated investment promotion teams focusing on the industrial, agricultural, and cultural sectors. The teams have traveled to cities such as Shanghai, Suzhou, Chengdu, and Zhuhai to promote investment, acquiring information on more than 50 valuable projects.

In addition, the town continues its efforts to attract high-quality projects in industries such as intelligent equipment, new materials, and automotive components.

In the latter half of this year, Shigang hosted the investment promotion conference for the Nantong Shigang Science and Technology Industrial Park (Southern Jiangsu). The event led to the signing of agreements for five projects related to electric compression machines and dynamic and static turbine discs, each with an investment exceeding 100 million yuan ($14 million).

Shigang currently has a total of 11 projects with investments exceeding 100 million yuan scheduled to commence construction.

Among them is a project funded and to be built by Nantong New Zhou Glass Co Ltd. The project has a planned total investment of 100 million yuan and spans an area of about 26 mu (1.73 hectares). It is primarily focused on the research and production of energy-saving glass, such as heat-absorbing glass, low-emissivity coated glass, and heat-reflective coated glass. It is expected to commence in June of the following year and generate 130 million yuan in sales.
