Rudong county in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making consistent strides in advancing the digital and intelligent transformation of manufacturing enterprises as a way to drive the development of local industries.

As of now, the county boasts seven provincial-level smart factories, 18 provincial-level smart workshops, 33 municipal-level smart workshops, and 79 cloud-connected enterprises with star ratings.

Rudong Lianyi Electromechanical Co Ltd stands out as a high-tech company specializing in the intelligent manufacturing and operation of aluminum electrolytic capacitor casings.

The company has an annual production capacity of up to 46 billion units and has independently developed enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution systems. These systems intelligently schedule customer orders and enable real-time transmission of equipment data, enhancing product precision and reducing the need for manual labor, according to Zhou Yijun, the company's deputy general manager.

Nantong Hanvo New Material Technology Co Ltd, on the other hand, has achieved complete automation of production equipment and a highly intelligent manufacturing process by introducing advanced ERP and MES digital management systems. This integration encompasses intelligent warehousing, logistics, production, and quality inspection.

Last year, Rudong initiated free diagnostic services to provide a clear path and direction for businesses undergoing intelligent reforms. The plan aims to achieve comprehensive diagnostic coverage for all county enterprises next year.

Rudong also introduced the Opinions on the High-Quality Development of Industrial Economy in April this year, outlining policies that further enhance software subsidies and other honor-based incentives for enterprises undergoing intelligent transformation.
