An event encouraging people to invest in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, was held in Shenzhen on Nov 19.

Representatives from Fortune Global 500 enterprises, listed firms, leading enterprises, universities and other institutions attended the event.

Yang Wanping, deputy secretary of the CPC Chongchuan committee, delivered a speech at the event. He said that Chongchuan and Shenzhen have been cooperating since the beginning of reform and opening-up. He also encouraged more enterprises to invest or set up operations in the district.

Deals for 34 high-quality projects worth nearly 14 billion yuan ($1.95 billion) were signed at the event.
