Construction on the high-end digital factory of Jiangsu Weirui Electric Co Ltd commenced in the Hai'an High-tech Zone on Oct 12.

With a total investment of 500 million yuan ($68.36 million), the factory will cover an area of 52,000 square meters. By introducing domestic advanced equipment, the factory is expected to produce 3,000 sets of smart power transformers and 1,500 ring cabinets annually. Its annual sales revenue is projected to reach 800 million yuan.

The project is set to inject new vitality into the county's strong electrical and electrical manufacturing industry.

The electrical manufacturing industry, a longstanding and important industry in Hai'an, is becoming an indispensable part of the county's growing manufacturing landscape.

Hai'an is currently home to 93 electrical manufacturing companies and boasts 26 transformer brands. The county also has three enterprise technology centers and five engineering technology research centers at the provincial-level or above, solidifying its position as a hub for innovation and industrial expertise.
