The Gongyuan Ercun residential community, an over-40-year-old residential community located in the Tangzha subdistrict of Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province has become a popular spot for locals and visitors.

Once a quaint neighborhood, its transformation began in 2021 as part of the district's renovation project for old residential communities.

The residential community was a key focus area of the project. During the renovation process, several trees were relocated, making way for the addition of approximately 12 pieces of resident fitness equipment, four sets of chess tables, and 10 chairs.

In addition, the residential community also introduced electric vehicle charging stations and outdoor charging sheds for electric scooters, providing added convenience for its residents.

Apart from Gongyuan Ercun, the Waitan residential community also underwent a remarkable transformation after being included in the old neighborhood renovation project in 2022.

The newly-added pavilions and stone benches in the neighborhood's 1,000-square-meter parks offer residents a place to relax and unwind. The open space in front of the pavilions now serves as a safe and comfortable playground for children.
