Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone strives to become national high-tech zone

The Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Rugao, a county-level city of Nantong, aims to become a national high-tech zone within the next three years.
To further enhance its innovative development, the zone will deepen cooperation with the science parks of Tsinghua University, East China University of Science and Technology and other well-known universities to explore more effective paths of industrial development supported by science and technology.
The zone will continue to focus on optical optoelectronics, intelligent manufacturing, lasers, and semiconductors and work to attract more related projects to improve its industrial chains.
In addition, based on the existing industrial layout for the digital economy, software and information service and headquarters economy, the zone will work to attract projects such as the NetEase Innovation Center and Alibaba Data Center. The zone will make every effort to ensure that the taxable sales of the digital industry reach 700 million yuan ($96.12 million) and tax payments reach 40 million yuan this year.
