The 2023 High-quality Development Promotional Event for Rudong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, took place in Shanghai on July 7.

An area of 872.98-mu (58.2 hectares) designated for commercial use was revealed during the event to attract investors and entrepreneurs, while six real estate projects and six collaborative projects were signed into effect.

The event was aimed at promoting the county’s real estate industry, which has made strides in recent years and is expected to be an important driver of the local economy in the future.

Ma Faliang, chairman of the association of Zhejiang entrepreneurs in Rudong, said that the launched area is a hub for green and innovative industries and enjoys huge potential.

Ma added that the association of Zhejiang entrepreneurs plans to establish a building for the association in Rudong, with an investment of 300 million yuan ($41.73 million).

According to Ma, Rudong has become a popular investment destination for businessmen from Zhejiang province.

The association of Zhejiang entrepreneurs in the county has more than 70 member companies, and its sales revenue 2022 exceeded 15 billion yuan in 2022.

In addition, representatives of Yurun Group, a real estate company, said at the event that the group will establish a commerce complex in the county, which will provide jobs for more than 3,000 people.
