A book donation ceremony took place at New District Middle School in Rudong county, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 25.

The event is part of efforts to address book shortages among students in Yining, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

During the donation ceremony, students generously contributed their books, which accompanied them throughout their three years of schooling. They signed their names and indicated the quantity of books donated on a scroll. The scrolls, along with the donated books, will be transported to Yining.

The donation campaign resulted in over 10,000 books being collected.

Li Xiaobin, principal of the middle school, said during the ceremony that the donation activity will be an unforgettable experience for the students.
