Rudong seeks more cooperation with Shanghai
Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province, is set to collaborate with Shanghai on eight projects related to medical treatment, talent cultivation, and scientific and technological innovation.
The deals for these projects were signed by both sides during an investment promotion event held in Shanghai on June 25. The event is part of efforts by Rudong to attract investment and talent.
During the event, Yang Zhenyu, co-chairman of a service company, announced that in July, the company plans to help over 30 specialized companies in new materials to visit Rudong and explore potential cooperation opportunities with local enterprises.
Highlighting the efficient work of local authorities, Xu Xueqiang, who is in charge of APK (Shanghai) Gas Co Ltd, expressed his intention to relocate a new project to Rudong.
In recent years, Shanghai has emerged as a key investor in Rudong, with over 50 percent of all projects being carried out by Shanghai companies. Additionally, Shanghai has fostered business ties with over 60 percent of local enterprises in Rudong.
Rudong has also established multiple innovation centers in Shanghai, capitalizing on the talent pool available in the city to drive its own innovative development.
To further explore collaborative approaches to talent cultivation, the Shanghai-Rudong talent center was launched during the event.
