The 2,500-meter deep-water pile hammer developed by Hai'an-based company China Forging Machinery Co Ltd recently saw success in its offshore trial application in the South China Sea.

This marks a significant achievement as it is the first domestically-developed deep-water pile hammer of its kind in China.

The pile hammer is a key piece of equipment used for constructing underwater foundations for various platforms such as offshore oil and gas drilling platforms. It possesses advantages such as low energy consumption, minimal pollution, and high adaptability.

The newly-developed 2,500-meter deep-water pile hammer is designed to cover the major sea areas around China and is accurate within less than a meter. The overall performance of the hammer has reached world-class standards.

This achievement holds significance in accelerating the development of deep-sea oil and gas resources in China and ensuring the country's energy security.
