The 2023 Nantong City North Life and Health Industry Conference was held in the Shibei High-tech Zone in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 4.

Chen Dongmei, vice-mayor of Nantong, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Chen said that Nantong attaches great importance to the bioengineering and pharmaceutical industries and has attracted many multinational companies and domestic enterprises which are leaders in these areas.

The city will make more efforts to provide professional services and a business-friendly environment to attract more innovative enterprises, Chen added.

Huang Zhengming, lifetime honorary chairman of the China Medicine Education Association, said at the conference that the CMEA will take the event as an opportunity to set up a platform for exchange between life and healthcare industries around the world.

During the event, a roundtable dialogue was held to share the views of professionals in the development of the life and healthcare industry.

In addition, a launch ceremony of a research and development transfer platform for the bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry was held during the event.
