Rugao students learn Peking Opera at school
In recent years, the No 3 Experimental Primary School of the Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has introduced Peking Opera classes as part of its school-based curriculum.
The school has set up a children's Peking Opera Club and hired professional Peking Opera teachers to teach two Peking Opera classes a week, involving general information about Peking Opera, singing, movements and role playing, allowing children to experience the charm of Chinese culture from an early age.
