Zhouji Menghuan Island opens

Zhouji Menghuan Island in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, opened to the public on March 8.

It took five years to build the island-type botanical garden, which features a wide variety of colorful vegetation and unique landforms.
Covering an area of 1,400 mu (93.33 hectares), Zhouji Menghuan Island includes scenic spots themed on wisteria sinensis, peach blossoms, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, metasequoia, and volcanoes.

The Cherry Blossom Valley is home to more than 5,000 cherry trees of over 40 species and is filled with falling cherry blossom petals in spring.
The Plum Blossom Mountain is home to 2,000 plum trees of over 10 species, which are now in full bloom.
