Various flowers to bloom in Rugao

Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, is going to become a city of flowers with the arrival of spring. Here's a timetable for enjoying flowers in the city.

February to March for plum blossoms and magnolia flowers
The sides of streets, venues and roads in Rugao will be filled with colorful plum blossoms and white or purple magnolia flowers, which can be admired by simply stepping out of the house.
Recommended places: Shuihui Garden, Yiyuan Garden, Longyou River Park for plum blossoms; Shuihui Garden, Yinian Road, Anding Square for magnolia flowers.

March to April for rape flowers and peach flowers
Rape flowers are the most common crop found in the countryside. Patches of rapes are planted in the early spring and late March and April. These seeded fields are covered with bright yellow flowers giving off a fresh aroma and tempting the busy bees flying among them.
Peach trees' green leaves tenderly hold the pink flowers, luring bees lingering among the sweet flower cores.

April to May for tulips
About 10,000 tulips in Jindao Ecological Park will be in full bloom. Strolling along the flower avenue is a great way for people to take a break from their busy lives.
