A Panamanian bulk carrier loaded with coal arrived at the terminal of Rugao Port Group in Changjiang town, Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Jan 12, according to local media reports.

The Panamanian bulk carrier, which carried 55,000 metric tons of coal for Nantong Power Generation Co Ltd on the 12-day voyage, departed from Tarahan Port in Indonesia.

This is the first foreign vessel carrying coal in Rugao Port Group this year.

Since the beginning of winter, Rugao Port Group has made every effort to ensure an adequate coal supply and strengthen coal transportation to meet power generation needs.
