Yangkou town in Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, aims to make strides in industrial development this year, according to a local government conference held on Dec 28.

One of measures Yangkou authorities will take is improving the introduction of new projects.

This year, authorities plan to introduce at least 20 projects, including five scientific and innovative ones with combined investments of more than two billion yuan ($297.38 million).

Authorities will also speed up the construction of industrial parks to boost the formation of industrial clusters in chemical engineering and advanced manufacturing.

In addition, the modern service industry will become a new engine to promote industrial development in the town.

Officials noted that the upcoming smart logistics park in the town will upgrade Yangkou's logistics industry to a higher level.
